Synopsis of R.I.P.D.:
R.I.P.D.: Rest in Peace Department is adapted from the 1999 comic book by Peter M. Lenkov and features performances by Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds, alongside Kevin Bacon, Mary-Louise Parker, Stéphanie Szostak, and Marisa Miller. The narrative centers on two law enforcement agents (Bridges and Reynolds) who are tasked with locating and capturing monstrous entities known as “Deados,” which are camouflaged as ordinary humans to evade their ultimate judgment juniorbola the afterlife. As they delve deeper, the agents uncover a malevolent scheme aimed at disrupting the cosmic balance and annihilating all life, compelling them to collaborate in thwarting this threat.
A direct-to-video sequel, R.I.P.D. 2: Rise of the Damned, was released in 2022. This film serves as a prequel to the original 2013 movie and features Jeffrey Donovan and Rachel Adedeji. It is set to be available on Peacock starting January 1, 2025.
